Having your web site with a bzh extension is firstly a way of conveying the image of Brittany. The extension .bzh, abbreviation of “Breizh”, which means Brittany in Breton language, is famous inside and outside Brittany probably thanks to those motorists who stick a BZH on their car.

An approach supported by the politic, cultural and economic sphere in Brittany
The project dotbzh is supported by a meaningful number of personalities. Initiated in 2004 by the député Christian Ménard who’s been trying hard since that date to obtain an extension for Brittany, the move is now taken by officials from all political colours: It is a federative project! The Bretons cultural actors, a lot of artists (like Dan Ar Braz or Gilles Servat), and numerous entrepreneurs (not from the less important ones), want that Brittany, its culture and its language, could finally take the advantage of having its extension!
